I love this mascara and have never found an applicator or formula that was comfortable and simple.
I could find myself getting my lashes coated and separated easily and I have always received compliments specifically about this mascara.
I am so sad to see it is still discontinued.
I would have a look I loved and be comfortable with the wear all day long.
This product was everything I needed with no compromises.

SO sad that this is discontinued!!! It was literally perfect.
-Exactly the amount of volume I wanted without dumping the product on my lashes.
-Beautiful soft finish! Still on the natural side, with a just a touch of drama
-Not too wet of a formula
-Perfect brush, not too fat and not too skinny, bristles grabbed my lashes nicely, not spiky and not soft either
-Lasted ALL DAY. Even waterproof mascaras often smudge under my eyes (oily skin club!) but this DID NOT. No flaking or issues with my contacts, either.
-Lashes stayed curled (waterproof formula) and didn't flatten throughout the day
-Matte tube was easier to hold
-Coconut scent was a nice little touch. :)
OK, Maybelline, you say you're working on new products... it's going to be tough to top this one. Seriously so bummed. There are about two dozen Colossal spin-offs, and this product gets discontinued. :(

I don’t usually feel strongly enough negatively about most products to write a review …and the formula isn’t necessarily terrible- but the brush is so lumped full of the product EVERY time you take it out of the bottle. It’s horrible. It’s more work to actually wipe down the brush than anything. The formula is a tad clumpy though despite that. Just not really easy to use. Desperately needs something on the bottle to keep from a ridiculous amount of goop on the brush.

Sobbed extensively watching a very depressing TV show and it didn’t streak at all (and this isn’t even the waterproof version). Highly recommend for regular criers like myself, or those who might find themselves in emotionally riveting situations.

A true washable mascara just needs a little hot water, virtually no rubbing to come off. This one takes a lot of backs and forths with a waterproof mascara remover. That's not what I thought I was buying. It's also thick and clumpy. If you want long clean lashes without thick clumps, this is not the mascara to buy.

I just purchased Total Temptation mascara for the first time. Blackest Black is great-I love the formula, goes on very smooth, doesn’t feel heavy. However, the applicator handle needs to change. I found it difficult to use with one side being flat while the rest was round. Two sides should be flat or have it be all round, this would make it easier to hold and use.

Best of all, it results in a very natural-looking effect which is perfect for everyday wear. It helps to accentuate one's eyes without looking distractingly heavy or fake.

This mascara is perfect except for one thing, the fragrance. Ive been trying to find this shade of brown that is easily removed for a long time now, i thought i finally found the one but unfortunately the fragrance started irritating my eyes after a couple wears. I dont understand why anyone would put perfume in an eye product to begin with since eyes are the most sensitive part of the face. Please reformulate this without the fragrance.

The product itself is great! Dries quickly and remained run proof through my son's wedding.❤️ The brush, on the other hand, is terrible. The product is caked on the brush making application clumpy. Once I got the clumps off my lashes it was great. I'm considering using the brush from my daily use Great Lash to see if that helps.

Save your $ and pass. This is the worst mascara that I’ve ever used. It is so slow to dry!!! Furthermore, my lashes dried in a clump, despite a painstaking application to comb out the clumps. I’ve worn mascara for 30yrs. I know which is good product and is bad. THIS is BAD. I purchased it try the Cocoa color. I’m staying with my favorite mascara -lash stiletto. I wish that mascara was offered in cocoa too!

this mascara is so bad, it did nothing but clumps and smudges everywhere, it doesn’t have a clean finish, the bristles are flimsy so the control over it is difficult, the formula is always wet, i spend on the application of the mascara alone 30 min just to fix the smudge and the mess it did, the lash sensational one is the best i’m never gonna change it, and never purchasing this one again

I’ve been using Madeline over 20 years and I’ve never seen one of their products that was this terrible! This mascara caused eye infections at the base of my lashes, similar to styes, on both eyes every time I used it. When I switched mascara brands, the infections cleared. When I bought a new box of Mabelline Total Temptation mascara, the infections returned! I went through three packages until I was sure it was the mascara causing the problem. This has some substance or contamination in it that caused eye infections. Don’t buy it!!!

I put this mascara on my lashes and all it did was weigh down my lashes and gave them zero volume and length very disappointed with what it did with my lashes. But it did have a nice scent for a mascara that was the only good thing about it.

From the moment I opened the package, I knew it would be a terrible product. The wand is covered in thick, clumpy goo...literally now...not exaggerating. And to try and scrape some of it off on the opening doesn't help. I still tried using it for two weeks now, because when I buy something, I like to give it a chance. Mistake! When I've pathetically managed to apply some, using an eyebrow comb to try to get the clumps of my lashes, trying to wash it off later is a nightmare. I only apply 1-2 coats on top lashes and 1 coat on bottom, yet it's like trying to wash shoe polish off your skin. And we're talking about delicate eye areas! And when I've thought surely I've removed it all, I wake in the morning with it still smeared under my eyes. Grrr... I'm not a regular review writer, but this has really upset me. No, the mascara does not smell funny like something gone wrong, and of course I didn't keep the receipt. Don't waste your money, people. This mascara is the worst!

First time I hate a Maybelline Product

I’ve always bought Maybelline mascara and I just bought this one on Sunday. Never before have I had a problem until this mascara. My lashes don’t look as long or healthy and my eyes are irritated and itchy. I’m bummed because I spent $10 on it and now I don’t want to even use it or buy another one.

The best mascara I have ever used!! Everyone is constantly asking me where I get my lash extensions done, assuming they are fake. Maybelline, PLEASE let me know if you are ever going to discontinue this product! I will definitely stock up!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara is amazing. My lashes look super pretty when I use this product. Once applied my lashes stay beautiful, no lumps and my favorite part they stay flexible! I love when that happens because the lashes look so good and no one will tell if I have 1,2 or 3 coats of mascara. The smell, oh lord is so good. Hands down my favorite mascara ever!

I bought this mascara on a whim and was shocked to find my perfect mascara! The volume this creates is something else and although you have to learn to work with it to prevent eyelashes sticking together and clumping etc. It is totally worth it. Once you know what you're doing with it, it separates volimises and lengthens without a crispy feeling. And it doesn't flake off or smudge. I used to use very pricey £25 mascara but have now switched. Please maybelline never discontinue this mascara!!!
